I will openly admit that the idea of SIDS scares me to death! So these monitors are a sanity saver. They set off an alarm if your baby doesn't move or breath after a short duration of time. There is no way that I would be able to get a decent nights sleep without these. Just make sure you know which version of these monitors you are getting. Some of the pictures show two monitors, but not all of the sellers have that version. I only got one, but fortunately that was all I needed so I didn't worry about it. Just be careful to verify which one you are getting.

This is a fantastic product!!! We used this for our child just because I am a little on the nervous side. I know some parents end up checking their child all the time to make sure they are breathing. I don't 100% trust this system, but I think it's about as close as it gets. Never let your guard down just because you have this product, but it may allow you to get some sleep instead of checking up on your child. Although know that depending on your house, you could have a vibration from a fan, air conditioning, etc that the sensors could pick up. Although not billed as a life saving device, I definitely think this has the potential to save your childs life. But again, don't ever put 100% trust in anything. Nothing is an alternative for adult supervision. That said, this product did put my mind at ease and let me relax a bit.

I love Angelcare movement monitor! It gives me piece of mind that my baby is breathing and I can hear him when he wakes up. It works great when we go to visit the grandparents and just have the sound part of the monitor. The kids go to bed and we can stay up and visit and can hear them if they wake up. It is easy to use, small and compact. It's great that it takes batteries as well. I highly recommend this item if you're looking for a monitor. I had one time a false alarm went off, the reason was that over time the part that goes under the mattress moved and wasn't able to "feel" the baby breathing. Totally a false alarm.
